A very well observed moment which has a slight sense of humour with the contrast
between the banner for the TdF and a local cyclist, perfectly positioned between the
railing and the drainpipe. The scene has a high dynamic range, from the shaded wall
closest to us to the bright sunlight on the road and this area has lost details in the
Footer 31brighter areas. In this type of scene it is often better to underexposed to retain detail
and colour in the brighter areas as the shaded areas can more easily be brightened.
Overall.
A varied set of subject which with the exception of Image 4 show a connection with the
cycling event. Interestingly, Apart from the banners we have no sharp images of
competitors, and the set of images has the feel of capturing the surroundings and showing
the fleeting presence of the competitors, a theme which could be developed further.
