You can see why a lighthouse is needed here. The waves are crashing into the rocks. When the sun is bright, and around the middle of the day when contrast is low, making an image mono often improves it and I think that is the case here. The exposure has been held back so we see cloud details and also nice crisp whites in the waves. The lighthouse is on the left third and along with the downwards sloping rocks, our eyes move out to sea. It would be really good if there was something there for our eyes to see as at present the right-hand side of the image is devoid of any real interest. Good shutter speed for the waves to be seen crashing. The shot has been taken from what looks like high-up. An alternative and one which would add more drama, is to get down to water level and put on a longer focal length. This would bring the lighthouse more into the frame, foreshorten it and with the different angle, the waves would be interacted with the lighthouse more. At present we have a lot of sky and the interest is more in the rocks and waves.
